A Tweedbank teenager who denies threatening or abusive behaviour towards two disabled people, and assaulting one of them, will stand trial on October 28.
Gavin Murray, 18, of Carlin Court, pleaded not guilty to committing both offences at Cherry Park, Tweedbank.
He denied that on May 23 he behaved in a threatening or abusive manner, threatened violence to others, and challenging them to fight, and assaulting a disabled person, seizing him by the body, pushing him against a vehicle, and repeatedly punching him on the head and kicking him on the body, to his injury.
Murray also denies threatening the same disabled man, and another disabled person, and recklessly scratching a vehicle on Friday.
An intermediate hearing was set for September 29.
Bail was granted, with a condition not to enter Cherry Park or contact the complainers.
