A Walkerburn woman assaulted a nurse at Borders General Hospital.
Twenty-four-year-old Zoe Forsyth, of Tweedholm Avenue East, admitted committing the offence in the accident and emergency department on Friday. She also pleaded guilty to assaulting a police officer there by spitting at him.
Sentence was deferred until August 11 for reports and Forsyth released on bail with a curfew.
Sheriff Kevin Drummond told her: “I cannot prohibit you from going to hospital, but if there is any repetition of this behaviour while you are on bail, it is more than likely you will find yourself in custody.”
