A Kelso teenager who stole alcohol from a shop has been warned that any breach of bail will cost him his liberty.
Mcrae Fairbairn was released on bail with a curfew after he appeared from custody and admitted committing two thefts on July 1.
“I am prepared to give you a final opportunity, but if you breach this you can take it for granted that you will be remanded,” warned Sheriff Kevin Drummond.
The 19-year-old, who lives at Inchmyre, stole two packs of lager from the town Co-op, and another case of lager from the same place later in the day.
Fairbairn also pleaded guilty to the theft of beverages from Semi-Chem in Roxburgh Street, Kelso, on Saturday.
On a separate complaint, he admitted taking away a car without the owner’s consent at Grovehill, Kelso, on April 19/20 and using it without insurance.
Sentence was deferred for reports until July 25.
