Melrose Sevens, the Return of the Ridings and Tweedlove Festival will all get a share of a £3 million pot of funding next year from Homecoming 2014.
All three events are included in the celebrations which coincide with Scotland hosting the Ryder Cup and Commonwealth Games, as well as the independence referendum.
Melrose Sevens will receive backing in its 131st year, while the Return to the Ridings covers the majority of the Borders summer festivals.
And the popular Tweedlove bike event based in Peebles will also receive backing as part of the tourism initiative.
