A documentary film, set in Town and Kirk Yetholm and the valleys of the Halterburn and the Bowmont, is being shown at 7.30pm on tomorrow, November 16, in the Abbey Row Centre, Kelso.

“Ranging from the 1930s to the 1960s, and told by the people themselves, this is an interesting and moving account of a way of life which has now gone,” explains the film’s creator Dorothy Sharpe.

Local people featured include Bill Elliot, shepherd up Halterburn, and Gilbert (Gil) Telfer of Calroust.

“All the local people who took part in the film were splendid and wonderful to work with and I’m really looking forward to giving more people the pleasure of viewing it.” Tickets cost is £3. Call 01890 850 285.
