Graeme Donald, left, representing Lauder Church, presents a £50 cheque to Robin Hugh, head gardener of Lauder in Bloom (LiB) which renovated a corner of the graveyard and provided a plantar and trellis at the gate to the church.
Also in the photograph are Joanne and Bill Watson who undertook the renovation project.
Other work carried out by the recently-formed LiB includes the introduction of additional planters and hanging baskets, brings the total to 15 planters and nine hanging baskets sited throughout the former royal burgh.
The group has also assumed maintenance of a number of flower beds previously the responsibility of Scottish Borders Council and begun work on themed landscaped areas outwith the town centre.
Group chairman and local trader Ruth Mason, said “Traders and volunteers have rallied in support of the group. We now have a committee of 20. Donations from 16 clubs and individuals raised £2,500 towards the cost of planters, compost and plants.”
