St Mary’s School, Melrose, held its prizegiving ceremony last Thursday.
After a welcome by the chairman of governors, Gareth Baird, parents, pupils, staff and guests were addressed by headmaster Liam Harvey who gave his account of the year.
Guest speaker Charlie Bush, headmaster of Oundle School, presented academic prizes before entertaining the audience with a child-friendly, yet poignant speech.
