Twelve Borders College sports and exercise students cycled the equivalent of Galashiels to John O’Groats – 309 miles – to raise money for the Margaret Kerr Unit Appeal at Borders General Hospital.
The students took in it in turns to ride the exercises bikes over two days to reach their target. The sponsored students set up their exercise bikes in the foyer of Scottish Borders Campus, a central spot in order to maximise fundraising.
They are hoping to raise more than £1,000 for the planned palliative care unit.
