Scottish Borders Council has revealed it is holding an open day at Eyemouth cemetery between 10am and 2pm on Friday, March 28.
An extension has been completed at the Coldingham Road burial ground and there will be a short dedication service at 10.30am.
The community centre in Albert Road will be open from 11am to 2pm when visitors can chat with staff and view historical cemetery records.
Councillor David Paterson from Hawick, who is responsible for environmental services, said: “This has ben set up to allow visitors to find out about the history of the burial ground and its future.
“I encourage people to go along and speak to staff about any concerns, improvements or suggestions for the future that they have about the cemetery.”
