A man has denied sitting near a Hawick primary school in breach of an Order prohibiting him from any contact with children under 18.
Andrew Finn is alleged to have committed the offence during a school sports day on June 20.
The 30-year-old, described as a prisoner in Edinburgh, was remanded in custody until a further hearing on September 20.
Finn also denies failing to comply with notification requirements under the Sexual Offences Act, by allegedly failing to tell police he was staying at an address in Hawick between March 27 and June 20.
He is due to stand trial by jury on October 7.
