Former Selkirk resident, Andrew Stewart, 23, has been accused of threatening or abusive behaviour in an ambulance and also at the accident and emergency department of Borders General Hospital.
Stewart, of Netherbank, Galashiels, is also accused of spitting on a paramedic at Galafoot Bridge and assaulting a police officer by kicking him and attempting to headbutt him. The offences are alleged to have happened last Saturday. Stewart pleaded not guilty to all three charges and a trial date was fixed for November 26, with an intermediate hearing on October 28.
