The Borders Exploration Group (BEG) unveiled a toposcope at the summit of one of the region’s best-known hills – Ruberslaw – to mark the organisation’s 20th birthday.
The ceremony was performed by BEG patron Sir Michael Strang Steel after members and supporters climbed to the top.
The toposcope shows the miles to other local hills and has pointers indicating the direction of countries which BEG has visited.
The photograph shows members and supporters climbing Ruberslaw; from left, Sir Michael , Roger Hemming (0ne of BEG’s founding members) and Graham Anderson (toposcope designer); and a view from the toposcope.
