BORDERERS are being urged by Michael Moore MP to join the army of 15,000 volunteers required for the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow next year.
He says it’s a great opportunity to be part of the Games and says volunteers helped make the London Olympics such a success.
Hesaid: “In Scotland we have the opportunity to get involved in another fantastic, global sporting event and again, it will be the volunteers that make the Games happen. I want to encourage Borderers to consider getting involved.”
Applications can be made online at www.glasgow2014.com/volunteer and library staff can assist with applications. The deadline is February 28.
