PARKED vans have been targeted by thieves in Innerleithen who made off with power tools valued at around £1,500.
Their haul included orange-coloured Paslode finishing and nail guns, and a blue-coloured Bosch hammer drill and circular saw. The carrycase for the nail gun had the letters BNC in black writing.
A police spokesman stated: “We would remind the public not to leave items of value within parked vehicles and not to buy second-hand tools unless it is from a trusted source.”
The thefts occurred in the Strand area of the town and police have appealed for anyone with information to come forward.
