NETWORK Rail has submitted 15 planning applications to Scottish Borders Council relating to road and rail bridges for the Borders Railway project.
The applications, submitted for prior approval, include five for the erection of new road bridges and eight for the refurbishment of road and rail bridges of varying sizes.The remaining two applications are for a replacement rail bridge and the creation of new field access.
The applications involve land in Galashiels and near Fountainhall, Stow and Heriot.
The company recently submitted plans to refurbish the historic Dryburn Bridge on Bowland Estate.
