As the wintery weather continues to affect the region, Scottish Borders Council (SBC) is working to maintain routine recycling and refuse collections.
There has been some minor disruption so far, mostly in rural areas and some side streets. SBC can’t currently confirm when any cancelled routes will be uplifted, as it will depend on conditions. But every effort will be made to keep Southern readers updated. Information will be posted on the SBC website (www.scotborders.gov.uk), Facebook (www.facebook.com/sbcouncil) and Twitter (www.twitter.com/scotborders) pages.
Priority may be given to collecting general waste ahead of recycling. However, all waste transfer stations, community recycling centres and the landfill site are open as normal today (Tuesday).
