LIBRARIES in Kelso and Jedburgh are temporarily closing this month while refurbishment work is carried out.
This is part of a wider project to integrate libraries and contact centre facilities in six towns, as agreed by Scottish Borders Council in December 2011.
The first two sites to be modified were Duns and Coldstream. The refurbishment work is now complete and both are due to open to the public in mid-January.
Kelso Library shut on Monday (January 7) and Jedburgh will close this coming Monday (January 14) to allow the internal layouts to be changed. Both sites are due to reopen in March.
During this period a mobile library service will be provided at Kelso Square and in Abbey Place car park, Jedburgh. Full details of the times of the visits are available at http://www.scotborders.gov.uk/borderslibraries
