A 31-YEAR-OLD man has been charged with dangerous driving after a serious accident near Lauder on Thursday morning.
The Cumbernauld driver suffered spinal injuries and was taken to Borders General Hospital after a crash on the A697 road near Dod Mill House.
His white van collided with a Seat car at 6.45am. Both the 31-year-old and the 63-year-old car driver had to be cut free from their vehicles by fire crews.
The 63-year-old was also taken to the BGH with spinal injuries.
A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.
