AROUND 8,100 homes and businesses in Galashiels will now benefit from faster broadband, according to BT.
The roll-out means download speeds of up to 20 megabits per second – double the previous speed – are now available.
Galashiels councillor Bill White said: “This will certainly help businesses to download large files.”
